Some people wonder why whatsapp charges for the app while other similar apps don’t. The blog post here explained why they do it.
They believe advertisement are bad for you and me. That doesn’t stop 250 Millions people around the world from using the great app every waking moments, as reported by this WSJ report.
They focus on what they love to do best, creating the best crossed platform messaging app and SMS alternative in the world for you and me. They make a stand and live by what they believe (They don’t like Ads). Could they have done better if they adopt a more ad-friendly approach? I think so.
